Gressette Learning Resource CenterThe Gressette Learning Resource Center combines traditional library services with modern technology. The library's online catalog provides access to books and audiovisual materials by author, title, or keyword. A network of computer workstations extends beyond the Library to the Health Sciences Satellite Media Center, providing access to the online catalog from that location. Access to periodical information is provided through our CD/ROM databases. Periodicals Abstracts Ondisc or Cumulative index to Nursing and Allied Health Literature databases can be searched easily from workstations in the LRC or the Health Sciences Media Center. Patrons with special needs will be served in compliance with the Americans With Disabilities Act. Monday - Thursday: Friday: LRC RulesThe rules for behavior as outlined in the South Carolina Tech Student Code apply to patrons using the Learning Resource Center/Media Centers. Behaviors not allowed include: possession or use of firearms or dangerous weapons, alcoholic beverages, narcotic or unlawful drugs, theft or malicious destruction of property, or engaging in any disruptive activity. Under no circumstances will food, beverages or smoking be permitted in the LRC or Media Center. Disruptive patrons, as well as anyone eating, drinking or smoking will be asked to leave. Repeated offenses may result in suspension of LRC privileges. Theft or concealment of library materials will be prosecuted under the Library Security Act of the Code of Laws of South Carolina. The Student Government Association supports proper use of the Library and supports punitive action for abuse of the Library. All patrons must abide by copyright law restrictions in use of the copy machine, access to the Internet and Westlaw, and use of all library resources, whether in printed or electronic format.
