High School Credit, Dual Enrollment, and Credit Recovery Enrollment Procedures

  1. Complete the course request form. High school students may register for a course only with permission of the guardian, guidance counselor, and principal.

  2. Applications should be submitted to the high school site coordinator. There will be a site coordinator for each Alliance high school.

  3. Out-of-Alliance students should contact their area school district office. Orangeburg Consolidated School District Four (803-534-8081) is currently processing requests.

  4. Once school-based approval has been granted and the registration process is complete, the high school site coordinator will advise you of fees and payment procedures.

  5. Upon receiving student registration materials, OCtech will assign an instructor and provide necessary login information. This information will be directed to the student and his/her guidance counselor. A school administrator (responsible for textbooks) will assign a textbook to the student, if appropriate. If the student must secure his/her textbook, the school administrator will provide information to the student.

NOTE: Credit recovery students will receive orientation and log-in information from their school site-coordinator unless enrolled in a WebCT - based course.

  6. Dual credit students must complete an OCtech application, and parents must sign a South Carolina financial aid form in order to obtain lottery assistance.

  7. Before the start of the semester, all high school credit and dual enrollment students are required to attend an orientation session, where VA teachers will provide an introduction to the course materials and online learning expectations. PARENTS ARE STRONGLY ENCOURAGED TO ATTEND.

Orientation– You will receive notification from your site coordinator.
