What We Do
The Orangeburg-Calhoun Technical College Foundation was
established in1977. It is a 501(c)(3) non-profit organization totally
separate from the Orangeburg-Calhoun Technical College. The purpose of the
Foundation is to further the educational aims of the College and its
students and employees. A board of directors governs the Foundation.
Our Foundation raises financial support in the
community to assist the College through both capital campaigns and annual
fund drives. The last capital campaign supplied funds for building
construction, renovations, and furnishings.
Annual fund donations provide monies to award a number
of scholarships to assist students with tuition, books, and supplies. It
also financially assists with projects for faculty and staff professional
development, alumni functions, mini grants, and other special projects.
Endowed scholarships enable a number of students to complete their degrees.
Money is also raised through memorials and honorarium gifts.
Contributions to the Foundation are tax-deductible and
may be received as gifts of cash, real or personal property, securities,
bequests, or by naming the Foundation as beneficiary of insurance policies
or trusts. Gifts may be designated or unrestricted and may be given one
time or continuing over time.
