How To Find a Job
One needs to utilize a variety of methods to have a successful job search. Finding a job is hard work and requires one to be very well organized. The search for a quality job takes time and there will be some frustrations. Some tips to keep in mind while looking for a job is to use a professional voice on the telephone and to make sure your answering machine/voice mail has an appropriate outgoing message.

  • Network-inform family and friends that you are looking for a job and ask if they are aware of any positions in your field
  • Use the College Job Placement Office
  • Get job leads from instructors
  • Search the classifieds
  • Use the Employment Security Commission/Job Service Office
